Mark is a Senior Associate with Project Lawyers, specialising in planning, environment, construction, and local government law.
Mark embodies a practical and outcome-based approach to legal issues and ability to negotiate the approval process with local and state government authorities through the Land and Environment Court of NSW.
Mark appears regularly in complex merit appeals (Class 1), land valuations, compulsory acquisition appeals (Class 3), judicial review proceedings (Class 4), as well as acting in the prosecution and defence of environmental crimes, enforcement matters (Class 5) at the Land and Environment Court of NSW and criminal prosecutions in the Local Court of NSW.
His areas of expertise extend to all aspects of planning and property development, including advising clients on environmental compliance, planning controls and policies.
Mark has worked for and against numerous NSW Local Council’s in merit planning appeals and has assisted individuals and developers obtain development consent(s) and achieve their desired development.
Mark works closely with Partners Anthony Perkins and Maysaa Parrino in the preparation of complex legal advice in this highly specialised area.
As a member of the Environmental Planning Law Association, Mark keeps abreast of the continuing developments in planning law. His expert knowledge and practical approach to the law assists clients to navigate the often complex planning regime without the stress associated with property development.
