Salam is a Senior Associate with Project Lawyers, with over six years’ experience of working in the NSW planning, environment and local government jurisdictions. She has been involved in an array of complex advisory and litigious matters, representing a variety of both public and private sector clients including developers; strata schemes; state and local government departments; educational and religious institutions; and commercial organisations. Salam’s work also includes advising on local government law and policy, including orders issued under the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW).
Salam’s experience further spans across strategically advising clients on a range of planning and environment issues affecting a variety of development projects including single dwelling, dual occupancy, residential flat buildings, boarding houses and commercial premises. She has also assisted with, and managed, litigious planning matters extending into merit appeals, compulsory resumption, judicial review and enforcement proceedings in the New South Wales Land and Environment Court, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and numerous NSW Local Courts.
